Her latest book, Sleeping Beauty, is due Fall 2002. Her paintings are part of permanent collections including the National Geographic Society in Washington DC and The Museum of American Illustration in New York City. She has won over 100 awards, including two Chesley Awards, two Spectrum Gold Awards, and the Spectrum Grand Master Award. In recent years she's concentrated on illustrating picture books, including 2 books of fairy tales as told by her daughter Charlotte Craft: Cupid and Psyche (1996), and King Midas and the Golden Touch (1999). Lewis and Isaac Asimov to Stephen King and Isabel Allende. ![]() Her cover paintings have appeared on books by authors from C.S. ![]() She began work as a freelance commercial artist in 1970, producing work for The Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times, Playboy, Newsweek, Time, Forbes, Sports Illustrated, and National Geographic. Craft studied there, receiving a BFA in 1962, before finding a sponsor to continue her education in the United States.
